This course will explore the Health and Wellbeing of pupils and staff through the lens of health Psychology which incorporates a mind- body approach to health. The biological, psychological and social factors impacting health and wellbeing within the school community will be examined using the biopsychosocial health psychology framework. The course will explore how schools can apply the 'Wellbeing Policy and Statement for Practice' in schools using health psychology principles and interventions. Each day will look at how schools can apply health psychology in the four key areas of 1)Curriculum 2) Policy and Planning 3)Relationships and Partnerships 4)Culture and Environment to improve the health and wellbeing of staff and pupils.
