Implementing Oral Reports, Storytelling, Instructions and Procedural Writing in English and Irish in the Primary Language Curriculum

This course will provide an introduction to the use of the PLC to implement Oral Reports, Storytelling, Instructions and Procedural writing in English and Irish. The course will provide assistance in the implementation of the PLC in the classroom focusing on enhancing the learning outcomes and experiences of pupils. It will explore opportunities to integrate with other subjects and linkage with English and Irish. The course will examine the transfer of skills between the two languages. The course will provide opportunities for participants to access relevant, good quality reading material and resources and to generate and share resources to assist in the implementation of the PLC. The duration of this course is 20 hours & qualifies for 3 EPV days. This is a face to face course
